ALPHA-GLASS hd

Product Description

ALPHA-GLASS HD panels are high-performance acoustic absorption panels consisting of a fabric-wrapped, rigid fiberglass core, incorporating an additional high-impact-resistant fiberglass facing layer (3 mm to 6 mm thick) engineered to enhance impact resistance and dimensional stability. The panels are designed to provide effective broadband sound absorption and reverberation control in acoustically demanding environments. The rigid fiberglass substrate ensures high mechanical durability, making the panels suitable for high-traffic and abuse-prone areas, while the acoustically transparent fabric finish allows optimal sound absorption without compromising visual or architectural quality. ALPHA-GLASS HD panels are intended for use in institutional, educational, recreational, and commercial applications, including schools, gymnasiums, corridors, cinemas, recording studios, offices, and similar interior spaces where both acoustic performance and impact resistance are required.

Sound Absorption Coefficients

Tested per ASTM C423 – Type A Mounting

Fire Resistance:

ALPHA-Glass HD panels offer high performance in reaction to fire:

ASTM E84 (Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials): Classified as Class A, with a flame-spread index ≤ 25 and a smoke-developed index ≤ 50, ensuring excellent resistance to flame propagation and limited smoke production.

CAN/ULC-S102 (Canadian Method of Fire and Smoke Spread Testing): Classified as Class A, with a flame-spread index ≤ 25 and a smoke-developed index ≤ 50, confirming compliance with North American fire safety requirements.

LEED® Contribution

ALPHA-Glass HD acoustic panels contribute to the sustainability criteria of LEED v4/v4.1. Manufactured from a fiberglass core with recycled content and wrapped in low-VOC acoustic fabric, they support healthy indoor air quality and meet acoustic performance requirements for occupant comfort. Their durable design, compliant with environmental standards, makes them suitable for projects seeking green certification.

Handling and Storage

Store panels flat in a well-ventilated area. Protect them from humidity and direct sunlight, and avoid resting them on their edges.

Cleaning

Clean panels with a soft brush or vacuum. For spills, use a non-toxic mild soap with warm water, then blot with a clean cloth without applying excessive pressure.
